Our Story
DataBraid was founded in 2024 by Koru, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) venture studio, in close collaboration with OTPP’s insurance portfolio.
It started with a problem every broker knows too well: too many systems, too much re-entry, and not enough time for clients. The industry had powerful tools, but they weren’t built to work together, leaving teams buried in manual admin.
We set out to fix that with a platform that connects the dots across insurance systems, reducing complexity and giving teams back their time.
Our mission is simple: make the everyday work of insurance faster, smarter, and far less manual.

With a sharp focus on execution, product-market fit, and team leadership, Care is guiding DataBraid’s mission to eliminate operational friction and enable faster, smarter data movement across fragmented systems.
Anurag is a seasoned technology leader with over a decade of experience launching and scaling complex products across industries. At DataBraid, he drives the technical vision and architecture that powers seamless data movement across fragmented insurance systems.
Liana is a seasoned product leader with over a decade of experience building 0-to-1 products and scaling early-stage startups. As Head of Product at DataBraid, she leads the development of our core infrastructure. Liana brings a generalist mindset and a deep bias for action to every stage of product development, from strategy to execution.
