DataBraid was launched in 2024, from Koru (an Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan venture studio) in close collaboration with OTPP’s insurance portfolio.Through open data sharing and seamless connectivity, DataBraid is tackling long-standing inefficiencies in an industry constrained by siloed systems and limited innovation.
Our mission is simple - make insurance data easier to access, share, and act on so brokerages, and carriers can build better products and deliver faster, more personalized customer experiences.

With a sharp focus on execution, product-market fit, and team leadership, Care is guiding DataBraid’s mission to eliminate operational friction and enable faster, smarter data movement across fragmented systems.
Anurag is a seasoned technology leader with over a decade of experience launching and scaling complex products across industries. At DataBraid, he drives the technical vision and architecture that powers seamless data movement across fragmented insurance systems.
Liana is a seasoned product leader with over a decade of experience building 0-to-1 products and scaling early-stage startups. As Head of Product at DataBraid, she leads the development of our core infrastructure. Liana brings a generalist mindset and a deep bias for action to every stage of product development, from strategy to execution.
